Twenty Nine

My Beau turned 29 on March 18th and you know what that means, im next!! I thought since it was our last year in our twenties i should put a little shin dig together for my babe. It is the day after St. Patty's day so usually we always just went out then, but now with a litle man in the house its not so easy to do that. So Friday night i got a group together and went to Rickenbackers, yum. I love that place. We had a really great dinner than a few of us went out after for a few cocktails. I didn't bring my camera??? But i did steal some from a friend :) It was way fun and a great way to spend his bday. I decided to get Beau this golf club he has been eyeing/talking about for some time, too bad he hasn't got to use it yet!! Every year i get him an ice cream cake (The rolled kind) His favorite and usually he eats the whole thing himself, this year G gave him some help :)

Back in the day

This is me as a babe, obviously it was the 80's! I'm thinken i was 3 ish?? Who knowb but ya gotta love my bed hair and sweat band :) I still love me some tomato soup too :)

Skate Party

SOme of our good friends daughter Kirra invited G to one of his first real birthday parties. IT was at classic skating, so naturally Beau was stoked to show off his moves. Me not so much :) So glad Beau likes to do that stuff, Griggs had a blast skating around with his dad and the kiddos. Brings me back to the days when that was way cool when i was a kid. Hand slapping and everything. Way fun day and cute pics!

Tres

Well i have been a slacker, but i wanted to do a post about my baby boy. Well i can't really call him a baby he is 3 years old!! We had an awesome party for him the weekend before his real bday with the fam. He was sooo excited to have everyone there for his party. I wish i had a camera on him when he walked upstairs and seen all his cool bday decorations!! Griggsy is obsessed with the show WOW WOW WUBBZY, we seriously watch it everyday. So i took on the task to make him a wubbzy cake. I was so stressed but it came out cute and he loved it so thats all that matters right?? ON his actual BDay i took off the day along with my sis who shares the same march 2nd bday. We spent the day Playing at the gateway, getting some yummy CPK, and making a trip to Build A Bear. My mom gave g some money also so we took him to TOYS-R-US also and let him wander and pick out a gift. He had a blast and i loved spending the day with my two favorite peeps. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONKEY!! You are my life and i love you to the moon... and back!!

LOVE LOVE

So im totally catching up on posts.. idk i just haven't been in the mood lately!! But i wanted to show my awesome new eyelashes i got done.My friend Angie does them (Butterfly Kisses) I love them, but mostly love NO MASCARA!! My nemesis that and my stick straight eyelashes. Now i get to enjoy these long curly beauties :)

My Valentine

Beau was out of town working for Valentines day, we will have to make up for it this weekend. We are not huge celebrators of this holiday anyways(buy me a new shirt and im stoked!!) but i love making this day special for G. He woke up to a bag of goodies and a cute new Vday shirt. LOL- this is funny, i bought him a box of chocolates with kitties on the front and when he came acrossed it he was so confused. He asked me, "MOM, Why did you buy me cat food"? he kills me!! He is my special Valentine and oh so sweet. After work and school Aunt Steph came over (her hubby was also out) we made cupcakes and munched on some Papa Johns. Perfect way to spend the night. XOXO

Today Griggsy Had his very first Dental appointment. I wasn't too worried about it cause he is super cooperative at the dr. and is never easily scared at ANYTHING. So when i brought him in i wasn't at all suprised to find him showing all the techs and The Dentist (DR. Schweppe) His new tattoos..oh boy :) He did great and best news he has no cavities!! All i had was my phone so i didn't get good pics. Griggs was stoked to get a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and a bouncy ball :)

Twenty Eleven..

Its funny how immediately when the year is over you start thinking about all the good or bad things that have happened during the year. 2010 was a great year for our family, i cannot complain one bit. Life is good i am really happy and I am really excited to see what 2011 has to offer. My Baby will be 3 this year...how did this happen? I just had him yesterday i swear!! Beau and i will celebrate our 2nd anniversary in February and Both of us will turn 29..OMG how did that happen!! When did i get old? Anyways now comes the resolutions. Last year my goal was to learn how to sew..that never happened but since my cute husband got me a new sewing machine for christmas..i am going to learn dammit! Also i going to simplify my life.. no clutter, lots of family time, and just focus more time on myself. I tend to overlook taking care of myself sometimes..every mom does :)But anyways New Years Eve was a blast! Me, Beau, G, my sis, and BIN went out to dinner. Thai of course, then off to our house for some wii "Just Dance" and "Michael Jackson" dance games. So much fun just to hang with my family and laugh our butts off for the new year. Great way to welcome 2011..I think thats a sigb it will be an awesome year.

Christmas

This Christmas was probably the best i've ever had. I have to admit i am usually a grinch but it is almost impossible not to love christmas with a 2 year old in the house. My Griggsy was so excited and just LOVED santa. He had to wait in line all by himself and went right up to him and said he wanted Stinky the Garbage truck....Oh stinky was all i heard about for 2 months!!

CHristmas Day came, I didn't go to bed till 2am then was up at 6am!! I was so excited to have Griggsy open his presents. He got spoiled, we all did actually!! Beau Got me a sewing machine which i am SOOO excited for!! Beaus Madre and Brother in law came down from St. George to visit also. It was really great to have them stay with us. Anyways just a few pics from the holidays

New addition

We finally have a Potty trained boy! Woot woot. I cannot tell you how nice not changing diapers is:) Griggsy one day decided he was a big boy and is doing amazing at this whole potty business. I am so proud of my guy. When i was in the process i told him when he was all trained i'd get him his own kitty. Soo i hunted a lil on KSL and found this cute guy!! We decided on Giovanni for his name, i have no idea why it just came to me. Hes meshed so well with our fam, we love him already. Griggsy is over the moon and doesn't give the poor cat one minute of peace.......

Halloween

Halloween has got to be my favorite holiday!!! I love everything about it, the decorations, candy, crisp air and of course all the costumes :) I think it gives you the chance to be a kid again. I have the best memories taking over the neighborhood for the night as a kid. But anyways... I usually start planning my costume and griggsys months before October. Well i have been so crazy with new jobs and mommyhood, i hadn't really even started till about a week before. LAME!!! Beau really wanted G to be a Garden Gnome so i was on the lookout. I found a super cute one and Griggsy loved it. He thought he was a witch!! (Hes a lil obsessed with them after watching Hocus Pocus so much) He is such a stud. Trick or Treating went well until the down pour! All in all way fun



Beaus Bro and his girly friend came into town so we went out on the town. I threw this costume together and beau was super lame and went as nothing :) xoxo

Something about a boy and his boots

Griggs has been going through a phase, a cowboy boot phase. He just loves these red boots!! Beau mom bought these for him for his 2nd birthday, they are still a bit big but that doesn't stop him from rocking these guys :) My favorite is to see him walking around in these suckers and when he wants them off all he's gotta do is kick is foot and off they go! Not that they go with his outfits but hey, he likes them so i guess thats all that matters.

Lots of Changes

So lots has happened to us in the last few weeks!! Both Beau and i got new jobs. I am working at Mount Ogden Surgical as the Administrative assistant and i must say i love it. I was really scared at first for change and I definetily will miss all my fellow coworkers. But I am starting to use what I went to school for and I am really excited to see where this takes me!! Beau starts on Monday as well as Day Care for Griggsy. im having mixed emotions about this but He is really excited to go. All G has talked about is playing with the kids and i know he is in good hands. So many changes this month and so much to be thankful for. I don't know how i have gotten through any of this with out my family.. love their stinkin guts :)

Fathers day..

I feel very lucky to have my dad...I know a lot of people feel that way but my dad is really special. He's the nicest, hard working, hilarious person i know and there has never been i time in my life that he wasn't one hundred percent there for me..ever. I love my dad so much and I feel like having a positive male influence in a girls life is so important. I think that is one of the reasons my sis and i both found such great husbands because we had such a good role model. I love you dad..






Which brings me to beau..who is the best dad! He is such a macho tough guy and it is my favorite to see how sweet he is to griggsy. They really are best buds and im just happy griggsy gets to have an amazing dad and grandpas in his life!!

So its a sunday night... and my house is sooo quiet! Beau took griggsy to st. george to visit his family until tuesday.. I had to work so im here.... and i really miss my boys. I am trying to take full advantage, don't get me wrong, quiet candice time is amazing but I am missing them. I am missing griggsy's latest obsession with the little rascals and him saying OH TAE! every five minutes or singing the pickle song. As much as it gets old watching that movie twice a day, i miss snuggles with him as we do watch it. As a mom you spend soo much of your time taking care of every one and everything. Well u get neglected a lot in that process, i can't tell you how many times i just with for a lonnnnng hot shower with no bangs on the door or yells for momma where are you? How many times i just want to sit and watch the hills uninterrupted without griggsy on my lap talking the whole time :) Being a mom is hard.. we all know it is but besides that it is the whole reason i work so hard and the reason i get up in the morning. My baby and my family is my life. and a quiet house is my old life..

finally

Finally Beau and i have found something we really like to do as a team. I mean we do everything together but as far as hobby wise we are not on the same page. HE is probably the most athletic person i know.. me not so much! I can barely ride a bike-- For reals yo!! He is an AMAzing at soccer, snowboarding, Golfing, ect whatever he tries he masters. I love being there to watch him but really wanted to find a new hobby for myself. Well the other day i got a wild hair to start refurbishing old furniture.. well i told beau about it and he was totally on board with me. First project.. our hand me down hutch in our kitchen. I have hated this thing for years, i mean every day i glance at this thing with hatred.Soo of course that was my first choice. We both decided on red for the color and a chocolate brown for an accent. It turned out to be an all day thing but we are soo not dissapointed it turned out wayyy cute... and both of us are hooked, we have already made lists of our next projects!!
